Hi! I'm Matias Autio, a freelance photographer based in Helsinki.

I first really got into photography when my parents bought their first digital camera back in 2001. I had shot some film as a kid, but digital photography really allowed me to experiment and shoot just for fun. Little by little I started to take photography more seriously and eventually got my first DSLR camera in 2010 and took it everywhere I travelled.

As I couldn't always travel, I started looking for other things to photograph. I quickly found myself shooting concerts, conventions and other events and also started doing street photography regularly. Now I'm focused mostly in weddings, portraits and family photos. I enjoy when I can capture those important moments in life and see how happy people are to see the photos.
